Start By:a. remove bucket1. Start the engine. Extend the stick perpendicular to the ground and lower it.
At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the implement hydraulic circuits (boom, stick and bucket) before any hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed.
2. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows: a. Fully retract the rod in the stick cylinder.b. Adjust the position of the bucket so it will be flat on the ground when the boom is lowered.c. Lower the boom until the bucket is flat on the ground.d. Shut off the engine, and put the hydraulic activation control lever in the "Lock" position.e. Move the control levers for the boom, bucket, stick and swing through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.f. Slowly loosen the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.g. Tighten the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank.h. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed. 3. Remove bolts (1) and clamp (2) from both sides of the stick. 4. Disconnect two hydraulic hose assemblies (3). 5. Remove six bolts (4) and two retainer plates (5) from each end of the stick cylinder support pin assembly. 6. Install Tooling (B) under stick cylinder (7) to support it as shown.7. Make sure the threaded puller hole in rod end of stick cylinder support pin (6) is clean prior to installation of Tooling (A). Fasten Tooling (A) to stick cylinder support pin (6) as shown. Fasten a lifting strap and a hoist to Tooling (A) to support it.8. Using Tooling (A), remove stick cylinder support pin (6). The weight of the stick cylinder support pin is 30 kg (66 lb). 9. Remove six bolts (8) and two retainer plates (9) from each end of the stick support pin assembly. 10. Make sure the threaded puller hole in the stick support pin is clean prior to installation of Tooling (C). Fasten Tooling (C) to the stick support pin as shown. Fasten a lifting strap and a hoist to Tooling (C) to support it.11. Install a suitable lifting device to stick (10) as shown.12. Using Tooling (C), remove the stick support pin until the stick is free of the boom. Do not remove the stick support pin completely out of the boom.13. Remove Tooling (C)
