When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
Certain wiring harnesses were manufactured with defective electrical connectors. The part numbers of the suspect electrical connectors are 3T-0203, 7G-8237, 8N-1525, 8N-1527, 8N-1529, 8N-1531 and 8N-1533. The connector locking feature may not function properly which could result in poor electrical connections.
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect wiring harnesses in dealer parts stock that contain the following electrical connectors:
3T-0203
7G-8237
8N-1525
8N-1527
8N-1529
8N-1531
8N-1533
Refer to the list of affected harnesses and the affected electrical connectors part numbers used on the harnesses. Refer to Image1 through Image3. The part number and date code are marked on the electrical connector.
If a harness that is equipped with an electrical connector is not marked with one of the date codes listed below, mark the package to indicate that the part has been inspected according to this program and return the part to dealer parts stock.
If a harness that is equipped with an electrical connector is marked with one of the date codes listed below, remove the part from dealer parts stock.

SERVICE CLAIM ALLOWANCES
Submit one claim for all parts removed from dealer parts stock. 0.25 hour is allowed for each harness inspected in dealer parts stock.
PARTS DISPOSITION

Hold all defective wiring harnesses for a Parts Return Request (PRR). A Parts Return Request (PRR) will be issued to you through the Send-It-Back process after the claim is submitted. Make sure to list the service letter program number on the packing slip and include the closed work order paperwork.

Handle the parts in accordance with your warranty bulletin on warranty parts handling.
