Position the gasket on the exhaust manifold.
Attach a suitable lifting device to turbocharger (1). The weight of turbocharger (1) is approximately 23 kg (50 lb). Install turbocharger (1) on the exhaust manifold. Note: Discard the locknuts after use. Use new locknuts for installation.
Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of the exhaust manifold studs and install locknuts (5) finger tight.
Position the integral seal on turbocharger (1) and connect oil drain tube assembly (6).
Position the gasket on turbocharger (1) and connect oil supply tube assembly (3) to turbocharger (1).
Position the gasket on turbocharger (1) and connect coolant hose assembly (2).
Position the gasket on turbocharger (1) and connect coolant hose assembly (4).
Loosen the nut on the V-band clamp enough to allow the turbine housing to rotate. Connect the exhaust pipe on the turbine housing. Tighten the nut on the V-band clamp to a torque of 14 1 N m (124 9 lb in). Lightly tap around the diameter of the V-band clamp with a soft hammer. Tighten the nut to a torque of 14 1 N m (124 9 lb in).
Tighten locknuts (5) to a torque of 55 5 N m (41 4 lb ft).
Fill the cooling system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
