Introduction
For Systems Operation and Troubleshooting, make reference to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, D11R Track-Type Tractor Power Train, Form SENR9405. For Specifications, make reference to Specifications for D11R Track-Type Tractor Power Train, SENR9404. If the Specifications in SENR9404 are not the same as in the Systems Operation and the Testing and Adjusting, look at the printing date on the back cover of each book. Use the specifications given in the book with the latest date.
Personal injury can result from machine movement. Perform the following steps before performing any tests or adjustments.
1. Lower the bulldozer and ripper to the ground.2. Put blocks in front of and behind the tracks.3. Allow only approved personnel on the machine and keep other personnel off of the machine and in clear view of the operator.4. When testing must be done in a closed area and whenever possible, activate the service brakes if the parking brake cannot be used. All tests and adjustments must be made with the oil in the power train hydraulic system at normal temperature for operation. Many of the pressure taps for testing the power train hydraulic system have quick disconnect couplings already installed (they may not be shown in the photos).Do not connect or disconnect the couplings when there is pressure in the system. This will prevent damage to the seal that is in the coupling.Transmission Hydraulic Controls (First Speed Reverse, Engine Running)
