Use the dimensions shown in Illustration 18 and the weld specifications in Illustration 19 in order to install plate (6) onto the outside of plate (1) .
Use the weld specifications in Illustration 19 in order to install tube (4) onto plate (1) .
Use the weld specifications in Illustration 19 in order to install plate (5) onto the outside of plate (1) .

Using a straight edge across the end of the tank, measure the depth of the transverse plate. Subtracting the height of the baffle on the new extension assembly will provide the clearance between the transverse plate and the baffle. The clearance should be 6 mm (0.24 inch) to 8 mm (0.31 inch).
