Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Drain the coolant from the cooling system into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
Disconnect the tube assemblies from the marine transmission oil cooler.

Disconnect tube assembly (1) .

Remove clip (4) .
Remove bolts (2) and marine transmission oil cooler (3) .
Remove the gasket and the O-ring seal from the marine transmission oil cooler.Installation Procedure

Install the gasket and the O-ring seal on the marine transmission oil cooler.
Position marine transmission oil cooler (3) and install bolts (2) .
Install clip (4) .

Connect tube assembly (1) .
Connect the tube assemblies to the marine transmission oil cooler.
Refill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant - Change".
