This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs.The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS53532" as the Part Numberand "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
The information supplied in this service letter may not be valid after the termination date of this program.Do not perform the work outlined in this Service Letter after the termination date without first contacting your Caterpillar product analyst.

PROBLEM
The existing cylinder head elbow O-ring can fail on certain CG170-16, G3516H, G3516H HD, and G3520H HD Generator Sets, If the existing O-ring fails the engine will experience coolant leak at the water manifold to cylinder head elbow due to wear on the O-ring seal.

ACTION REQUIRED
If the cylinder head elbow O-ring leaks. The water manifold assembly needs to be removed from the both sides of the engine. During re-assembly of the water manifold add a support bracket 349-4860 to cylinders currently without a support bracket. The cylinder(s) with O-ring(s) leaking should have the elbow replaced and all other elbows only need to be resealed.
