(6) Former 2M9189 Gasket.Adaptable To: The new 4P0519 Oil Drain Assembly and 6V3830 O-ring Seal are a direct replacement for the former 9S9994 Oil Drain Assembly and 2M9189 Gasket. The tightening torque for plug (6) in the former 9S9994 Oil Drain Assembly is 110 15 N m (80 10 lb ft). Tighten plug (2) in the new 4P0519 Oil Drain Assembly to a torque of 70 15 N m (50 10 lb ft). Be sure not to over tighten the plug in the new oil drain assembly.
Drain Plug, Port Plug, Pipe Plug Installation And Tightening
Be sure 619458 O-ring Seal used with the new 9X6451 Drain Plug (see Reference Article) is in good condition. See Illustration 2. Lubricate the seal with oil. Tighten the 9X6451 Drain Plug to a torque of 70 15 N m (50 10 lb ft).
Illustration 2. New 9X6451 Drain Plug.Install the former 1W7573 Drain Plug with a new 2A3398 Gasket. See Illustration 3. The gasket seam should be against the oil pan. Tighten the 1W7573 Drain Plug to a torque of 70 15 N m (50 10 lb ft).
Illustration 3. Former 1W7573 Drain Plug.Put a thin coat of 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the 3B0551 Pipe Plug. See Illustration 4. Tighten the 3B0551 Pipe Plug to a torque of 80 11 N m (60 8 lb ft).
