This diagnostic code is recorded when the ECM reads the current of the 12 VDC sensor supply as above normal (possible short to ground).The possible causes of this diagnostic code are listed below:
One or more of the components in the supply circuit is faulty.
The supply circuit is shorted to ground in the machine harness.
Either the Hydraulic Pump ECM or the Valve ECM has failed. This is unlikely.System Response:The results of this diagnostic code are listed below:
Some of the implements will not operate.Test Step 1. CHECK THE VALVE ECMThe Hydraulic Pump ECM supplies the 12 VDC sensor supply to the Valve ECM.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the J2 machine harness connector from the Valve ECM.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
Check to see if the CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is still active.Expected Result:The CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is still active.Results:
YES - The CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is still active.Repair: The Valve ECM is not causing the problem. Proceed to Test Step 2.
NO - The CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is NOT active.Repair: There may be a problem with the Valve ECM. Turn the key switch OFF. Clean and inspect the J2 connector in order to ensure all contacts are in good condition. Connect the J2 connector to the Valve ECM. Inspect the machine harness in the area of the Valve ECM for possible contact points where the wiring could short to the frame ground. Perform this procedure again. If the CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is only active when the J2 connector is connected to the Valve ECM, The Valve ECM has failed. Replace the Valve ECM.STOPTest Step 2. CHECK THE SUPPLY CIRCUIT COMPONENTSThe machine harness J2 connector remains disconnected from the Valve ECM.
Turn the key start switch to the ON position.
The J2 connector for the Hydraulic Pump ECM will remain connected. One at a time, disconnect the machine harness connector from each of the other components in the 12 VDC sensor supply circuit. As each component is disconnected, check to see if the CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is still active.Expected Result:The CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is no longer active.Results:
OK - The CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is no longer active.Repair: Determine the component that caused the diagnostic code to clear. Replace the component that is malfunctioning.STOP
NOT OK - The CID 0145 FMI 06 diagnostic code is still active after all of the components have been disconnected from the circuit. The machine harness could be shorted to a ground source. Proceed to Test Step 3.Test Step 3. CHECK 12 VDC SUPPLY FOR SHORT TO GROUNDThe machine harness remains disconnected from all the components in the circuit.
Turn the key start switch to the OFF position.
Disconnect the J1 and J2 machine harness connectors from the Hydraulic Pump ECM.
At the J2 machine harness connector for the Hydraulic Pump ECM, measure the resistance from the 12 VDC sensor supply circuit at connector contact
