PROBLEM
The existing muffler and mounting straps can fail on certain 834K Wheel Dozers, and 988K Wheel Loaders. Failure of the muffler can cause noise and heat within the engine compartment. Failure of the mounting strap is a broken strap.

Replace the muffler and mounting straps. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, KENR6486, "Muffler and Mounting - Removal and Install" and "Muffler - Remove and Install".
