Introduction
The procedure is use to test the parking brake operation.Machine Preparation
Move the machine to level ground. Install the frame lock.
Stop the engine. Parking brake will engage.
Turn the key switch to the ON position. Do not start the engine.

Close the cab door. Press the arming button on the keypad. Depress all the pedals and move the joysticks to release oil pressure from the system and purge the accumulator.
Turn the key switch to the OFF position. Parking Brake Display Test
Turn the key switch to the On position and verify the park brake engaged light illuminates on the display.
Push the parking brake switch located on the keypad.
Verify that the illuminated light goes off when the button is pushed to disengage the parking brake. Parking Brake "Hold" and "Drive Through" Test Procedure
Start the engine and run at Low Idle.
Apply parking brake.
Shift the transmission to the Fifth gear forward.
Return the transmission to the Neutral position.
Shift the transmission back to the Forward position.
The engine speed shall drop indicating torque converter stall.
Increase engine speed to High Idle.
Axle shall not spin. Note: Defective brake system may allow wheel movement.
Return the engine speed to idle.
Shift the transmission gear selector to First Gear Forward.
Return the transmission to the Neutral position.
Shift the transmission back to First Gear Forward.
Increase the engine speed to high idle.
Axle shall spin. Note: Do not allow axle to spin more than 2 seconds or machine to move more than 3.0 m (10 ft), or the parking brake may be damaged.
Lower the engine speed and return to Neutral.
Shut down the machine.
