Release the pressure from the transmission oil tank before any lines are disconnected from the transmission oil pump.
2. Drain the oil from the transmission oil tank until the level is below the oil return tube assembly on the side of the tank. 3. Disconnect tube assembly (1) from the scavenge part of the pump.4. Remove bolts (2), and disconnect return tube assembly (3) from the pump and tank. Remove the tube assembly.5. Remove bolts (4), and remove supply tube assembly (5).6. Fasten a nylon strap and hoist to the transmission oil and scavenge pump. Remove bolts (6), and remove transmission oil and scavenge pump (7). The weight of the pump is approximately 27 kg (60 lb.).7. To install the pump, fasten a nylon strap and hoist to the transmission oil and scavenge pump and position it in the housing for the torque converter. Install bolts (6).8. Position supply tube assembly (5), and install bolts (4). Install tube assembly (3) with bolts (2). Connect tube assembly (1).9. Fill the transmission oil tank with oil to the correct level. See the Maintenance Guide.10. Install the engine rear hood.
