Location of components in the new 9T1463 Drive Motor.Adaptable To: The new 9T1463 Drive Motor Group and 3W5393 Hydrostatic Lines Group are direct replacements for the former 9J8288 or 4T3071 Drive Motor Groups and 7P2267 Hydrostatic Lines Group. The new drive motor group and hydrostatic lines group are in effect with 963 Loaders 29S1192-Up, 18Z1751-1757, 18Z1759-Up, 21Z663, 21Z665, 21Z667, 21Z669-Up and 48Z223-Up. When a new 9T1463 Drive Motor Group is used to replace a former 9J8288 or 4T3071 Drive Motor Group, it will be necessary to replace only the high pressure drive hoses for that motor. Illustration 2 and Chart A show and list the changed components in the new lines group. New case drain hoses with face type seals and elbows are used in the new 3W5393 Hydrostatic Lines Group. It is not necessary to replace these hoses when changing either the drive motor group or the motor head assembly.
Illustration 2. Location of components in the new 3W5393 Hydrostatic Lines Group. The 4T971 Head Assembly used in the new drive motor group is adaptable to former drive motor groups. Chart B lists the components required to install a new head assembly on a former drive motor. When a former drive motor group or head assembly is replaced by a new drive motor group or head assembly, one new upper and one new lower hose assembly are required (see Illustration 2).
The case drain pressure quick disconnect nipple was not included on some factory installed 9T1463 Drive Motor Groups. If there is a need to check the case drain pressure on one of these drive motors, remove the 9S8008 Plug in the motor housing (see Illustration 1.). Install the components listed in Chart C in the motor housing as shown in Illustration 2. When a new 9T1463 Drive Motor Group is installed in place of a former drive motor group, it is necessary to move the case drain pressure quick disconnect nipple and adapter from the former motor housing to the new motor housing.
