PARTS DISPOSITION
Handle the parts in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
Rework Procedure
1. Remove clips (B) and bolt (C) that secure tube assembly (A). Retain clips (B) for future use. Boss (D) will not be reused. Refer to Image1.1.1.

2. Assemble bracket assembly (1), clip (2), clip (3), bolt (4), and hard washer (5) to tube assembly (A). Refer to Image1.2.1.
Note: Hand-tighten hardware only.

3. Use bracket assembly (1) in order to locate boss (6) in a position that does not put stress on tube assembly (A). Grind away paint and remove all grease and debris. Secure boss (6) with a 5mm (0.20 inch) fillet weld.
4. Dress grind all of the welds. Paint the welds and any exposed surfaces of the metal. Use Caterpillar yellow primer and Caterpillar yellow paint. Refer to Image1.4.1.

5. Secure bracket assembly (1) using hard washer (5) and bolt (4). Refer to Image1.5.1.
Note: Tighten all hardware.
