PROBLEM
The 268-2928 LH Beam Assembly and the 268-2930 RH Beam Assembly, on certain 777F Off-Highway Trucks, may have a non-conforming weld in the upper suspension cylinder mounting area that has developed into a through thickness crack.

ACTION REQUIRED
Any machine with a non-conforming weld identified during the inspection procedure in accordance with Service Letter REBE7472 and deemed a through thickness repair shall complete the repair according to Special Instruction REHS6089, "Procedure To Inspect and Repair The Upper Suspension Cylinder Mounting Area On The 777F Off-Highway Truck.

This is a 15 hour job per beam assembly, including time required for disassembly, fabrication of parts, weld repair and reassembly.
A maximum of 30 hours will be allowed if both beam assemblies require repairs.
A maximum of $150 will be allowed for materials to fabricate the parts. When required this amount will be allowed for each beam assembly.
