FLUID SPILLAGE CONTAINMENT Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids. Refer to "TOOLS AND SHOP PRODUCT GUIDE, NENG2500", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines. Dispose fluids according to local regulations and mandates. Put identification on all lines, hoses, wires and tubes for installation purposes. Cap and plug all lines, hoses and tubes to prevent foreign material from entering the system. Drain all fluids in a suitable container for storage or disposal. 1. Use Tooling (A) to remove water separator element (1) from water separator base (2).2. Disconnect two fuel lines (3). Remove the bolts and the water separator base from the scraper.Install Water Separator & Water Separator Base
1. Install water separator base (1) on the scraper. Inspect the O-ring seals and connect fuel lines (2). 2. Install water separator element (3) on the water separator base.
