3. Disconnect all oil lines from the transmission and transfer gear housings.4. Remove the battery cable hold-down clamps mounting bolts that secure cable to the transmission.5. Remove the transmission oil filter.6. Disconnect the transmission control linkage. Remove the linkage mounting bracket bolts and pull the control linkage away from transmission. 7. Disconnect the output drive shaft from the output transfer gear.8. Install two 5/8" - 11NC forged eyebolts and attach a hoist to the transmission.9. Remove the transmission mounting bolts from the left side of transmission. Remove the transmission mounting bolts and bracket from the right side of transmission.10. Slide the transmission to the rear approximately 4 in. (10 cm) and disconnect the input drive shaft from the input transfer gear. 11. Remove the transmission and transfer gear - weight 900 lbs. (400 kg).Install Transmission And Transfer Gears
1. Attach a hoist and position the transmission and transfer gear to machine. Connect the input drive shaft and tighten retaining bolts to 48 8 lb. ft. (6,6 1,1 mkg).2. Slide the transmission forward into position and install the right mounting bracket and all mounting bolts.3. Connect the output drive shaft to the output transfer gear. Tighten retaining bolts to 48 8 lb. ft. (6,6 1,1 mkg). 4. Position the transmission control linkage and install mounting bracket bolts. Connect the linkage.5. Install the transmission oil filter.6. Connect all oil lines to the transmission and transfer gear housings.7. Position the battery cable and install the holddown clamps mounting bolts.8. Fill the transmission with oil.Separate Input Transfer Gear From Transmission
preparatory step: a) remove transmission and transfer gears1. Attach a hoist and place the transmission on its output end. 2. Remove bolt (1). Remove remaining input transfer gear mounting bolts.3. Install two 3/8" - 16NC forged eyebolts in the transfer gear housing. Pry up on housing until clear of dowels and tubes. Attach a hoist and remove the input transfer gear - weight 100 lbs. (45 kg).4. Remove the output gear assembly from the transmission input shaft.Connect Input Transfer Gear To Transmission
1. Install the output gear assembly on the transmission input shaft. 2. Attach a hoist and position the input transfer gear on the transmission.3. Install the input transfer gear mounting bolts.concluding step: a) install transmission and transfer gears
