If the plate was manufactured incorrectly, replace the plate assembly with a good part. Refer to Illustration 1 for comparison of correctly manufactured plate assembly (3) and incorrectly manufactured plate assembly (2) .308-4280 Plate As is part of the 272-3252 Central Lubrication Lines Gp.

Use the following procedure if the machine is shipped with the incorrect plate assembly:
Remove four 8T-4195 Bolts (2) and four 8T-4121 Hard Washers (3) .
Replace the incorrect 308-4280 Plate As (1) with the new part.
Use the retained bolts and washers from disassembly to assemble the new 308-4280 Plate As (1) .Refer to Special Instruction, REHS5063, "Assembly Procedure for the 797F Off-Highway Truck - Install the Grease Tank and the Fast Fill Control Box" for instructions and requirements.The 308-4280 Plate As is adaptable to the machines LAJ204-237.The 308-4280 Plate As is effective in production with the machines LAJ238-UP.
