Engine speed has exceeded the trip point for engine overspeed.System Response:The Electronic Control Module (ECM) will log the event.Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) displays "Injection Disabled" on the status screen.Possible Performance Effect:The engine is shutdown.Troubleshooting:The operator may be operating the engine incorrectly.The "Engine Overspeed" parameter may be incorrectly programmed for the application. Use Cat ET to view the parameter setting for engine overspeed. Refer to Troubleshooting, "System Configuration Parameters" for the rpm range that is available for this parameter.Test Step 1.
