Empty Bucket Cat ET Calibration screen
The first calibration is the empty bucket calibration. The following setup calibration conditions will be shown in the Cat ET menu:
Set ride control to the AUTO or OFF position (If equipped)
Adjust the lift kickout setting so that weighing is complete prior to the start of the kickout
Exercise implements to warm hydraulic oil above 40° C (104° F)
Perform lifts with the bucket back in the FULL RACKBACK position and the lift lever in the DETENT position
Verify that the bucket is empty
Press the "Next" button on the bottom left of the screen.Note: Each condition must be satisfied to continue the calibration and will be checked off when met.If the hydraulic oil temperature is below 40° C (104° F), the operator will be prompted to exercise the implement to warm up the oil.Once the hydraulic oil is above 40° C (104° F), the operator will be prompted to:
Place the bucket on the ground.Note: The calibration will not proceed until the system determines that the bucket is in the lowest position. If this parameter is not checked off, the bucket requires lowering or the position sensor requires recalibration.Once these conditions are met, the operator will be instructed to:
Set the engine speed to high idle.Note: If at any point during the calibration the setup conditions are no longer met, the calibration will return to the unmet condition step. All steps completed after this unmet condition will need to be completed again. The operator will be instructed to:
Release the levers. The operator will be warned that the next set of lifts will be performed at slow lift velocity.
Push the "Next" button. The operator will be instructed to:
Lift and lower the empty bucket at least two times. If the second full lift does
