This is a 15-hour job to replace the boom.
In the 6001-8000 smu/49-60 month age, the dealer may choose to replace the boom or rework the cracks. If repaired, Caterpillar will allow 0% of part at dealer net and 80 hours of labor at cost rate. If replaced, Caterpillar will allow 33 1/3% of part at dealer net and 5 hours of labor at cost rate.PARTS DISPOSITION

REWORK PROCEDURE
Replace the cracked boom by a new one or rework the crack according to the special instruction REHS0167 or REHS0223 depending on the type of boom (Reach or Mass Excavation) for the 320 and 320B models or REHS0271 and REHS0546 for the 322, 322B, 325, 325B, 330, and 330B models.
