Pressurized air connection for the 1-1/2 NPT air inlet on the starting motor     1    Remove the Vane-Type Starting Motor
Shut off the pressurized air supply to the starting motor.
Purge any remaining pressurized air from the air lines for the starting motor.

Disconnect the air supply from elbow (1) for the air lines.
Disconnect harness (2) from the starting motor solenoid.
Disconnect the air lines from the starting motor. Remove the air lines.
Attach a suitable lifting devise to the starting motor.The starting motor weighs approximately 41 kg (90 lb).
Remove three bolts (3) and remove the starting motor. Keep the bolts for reuse.
Make sure that the gasket for the starting motor is removed from the flywheel housing.Install the Turbine-Type Starting Motor
Note: Provide sufficient support and/or a suitable lifting device for the starting motor. The starting motor weighs approximately 21 kg (46 lb)

Place starting motor (4) and a gasket into position. Secure the starting motor with three bolts (3) .Torque for the bolts ... 215 40 N m (160 30 lb ft)
Connect wiring (5) between the starting motor and the engine harness.
Connect the pressurized air supply to air inlet (6) .
Test the starting motor for proper operation.
