Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the auxiliary water pump.

Remove bolts (1) and remove adapter (2) from housing assembly (3). Remove the O-ring seal from adapter (2).

Remove plug (4), the O-ring seal, plug (5), and plug (6) from housing (3).

Remove bolts (7) and the washers from thrust washers (8). Remove thrust washers (7). Note: Newer style thrust washers may interfere with the bearing and not be removed at this time.

Use a suitable press in order to remove shaft assembly (9), impeller (10), bearing (11), and thrust washers (8) from housing (3).

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.Spring force will be released when covers are removed.Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.
Remove impeller (10). Remove spring (11), retainer assembly (12), ceramic seal (13). Remove the rubber seal and ceramic seal (14) from housing (3).

Remove oil seal (15) and plug (16) from housing (3).
