4 1 203-3831 Cup Plug Maximum installation depth of the cup plug from the machined surface is 0.5 mm (0.02 inch). Orient the cup plug as shown in the Illustration 1, within 10 degrees.
5 1 153-1256 Lip Type Seal Install the lip type seal with the primary lip toward the water pump drive gear. Press the oil seal with a press until the oil seal is flush with face of housing as shown in the Illustration 1.
Use installation tool. Do not install the lip type seal by hand.
6 1 336-2212 Water Pump Seal As Press the water pump seal assembly onto the shaft until the cup is fully seated inside the pump housing. Use installation tool.
Installation height (D) is 9.90 0.38 mm (0.390 0.015 inch).
