Wheel Group AssemblyThese motor graders are not equipped with a flywheel clutch and these motor graders are not equipped with a torque converter.Power from the diesel engine goes directly to the upper section of the power shift transmission. The transmission contains the forward clutches and reverse clutches. The lower section of the transmission contains the speed clutches. Five of the six speed clutches are stationary. One of the clutches is a turning clutch. In order to have power flow through the transmission, three clutches must be engaged at the same time.Power transfers to the differential from the output gear of the transmission. The differential turns the axles that turn the planetary gears of the final drive.
