Remove the governor actuator drive.
Remove the alternator.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Remove bolts (1), rear cover (2), and the gasket from rear adapter assembly (3).
Remove bolts (4) from rear adapter assembly (3). Use Tooling (A) to remove rear adapter assembly (3).

Remove the bolts in order to remove the front cover (not shown).
Remove bolts (6). Remove front adapter assembly (5), the shaft, and the drive gear as a unit from the drive housing. Installation Procedure
Install the accessory drive (front) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply clean engine oil to the O-ring seals prior to installation.
Ensure that the teeth of the drive gear are properly aligned.
