Remove the lift cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Lift Cylinder - Remove"for the machine that is being serviced.

Secure Tooling (A) to yoke (2).
Attach a suitable hoist and a suitable lifting sling to Tooling (A), as shown.
Remove the cover and the gasket from pin (1).
Install Tooling (B) in the threaded hole of pin (1).
Remove pin (1).

Use a suitable hoist and Tooling (A) in order to remove yoke (2). The weight of the yoke is 55 kg (120 lb).

Remove lip seal (3) from the front frame assembly.
If necessary, remove bearing (4) and (5). Refer to the following steps for the removal procedure:
Use 3.0 mm (.125 inch) low hydrogen welding rods. Weld a continuous bead completely around the inside diameter of the bearing.
Allow the bearing to cool.
Remove the bearing from the cap. Installation Procedure

Lower the temperature of bearings (4) and (5).
Use the proper protective equipment in order to install bearing (4) and bearing (5) in the front frame.
Install the bearings with the grooves within 15° of horizontal.
Install lip seal (3) in the front frame. The seal must be installed with the lip toward the outside of the frame.
Fill the bearings and lubricate the lip seal with 5P-0960 Molybdenum Grease.

Use a suitable hoist and Tooling (A) in order to install yoke (2). The weight of the yoke is 55 kg (120 lb).

Install pin (1).
Remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B).
Install the gasket and the cover on pin (1). End By:
Install the lift cylinder. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Lift Cylinder - Install"for the machine that is being serviced.
