Installation Procedure
Note: Make sure that the mating surfaces on the bearings of the front idler are clean and free of dirt and debris prior to assembly. Also, make sure that the mating surfaces on the support of the recoil spring assembly are clean and free of dirt and debris prior to assembly.

Fasten a hoist to the recoil spring assembly. Put the recoil spring assembly in position against the bearings on the front idler. Temporarily install four bolts (3) that hold the unit together.
Fasten a hoist to the front idler and the recoil spring assembly. Put the unit partially into the undercarriage frame assembly. Leave four bolts (3) exposed. Tighten four bolts (3) evenly.

Open the relief valve on the hydraulic track adjuster by one turn only. Place the front idler and recoil spring assembly in the correct position in the undercarriage frame assembly. Use a pry bar in order to slide the front idler and the recoil spring assembly into the undercarriage frame assembly. End By:
