The tractor engine start switch (key) is located in the operator's compartment on the dashboard.When you turn the key to the ON position, electrical power is supplied to the systems.
Off (1) - When you insert the key and when you remove the key, the engine start switch must be in the OFF position. A running tractor engine will stop running when the key is returned to the OFF position.
On (2) - To activate the electrical circuits in the cab, turn the key clockwise to the ON position.
Start (3) - To start the engine, turn the key clockwise to the START position. After the engine starts, release the key. The key will return to the ON position. Note: If the engine fails to start, return the engine start switch key to the OFF position. This must be done before you attempt to start the engine again.

The scraper engine start switch (key) is located on the control panel at the rear of the scraper.When you turn the key to the ON position, electrical power is supplied to the panel.Note: The electrical system of the scraper is separate from the electrical system of the tractor.
OFF (4) - When you insert the key and when you remove the key, the key must be in the OFF position. Note: In order to shut off the scraper engine, the governor control lever (7) must be in the FUEL-OFF position.
ON (5) - To activate the electrical circuits on the scraper, turn the key clockwise to the ON position.
START (6) - To start the engine, turn the key clockwise to the START position. After the engine starts, release the key. The key will return to the ON position. Note: To start the scraper engine, the governor control lever (7) must be moved forward to the FUEL-ON position.Note: If the engine fails to start, return the engine start switch key to the OFF position. This must be done before you attempt to start the engine again.

The scraper governor control lever (7) is located on the left side of the scraper engine. This lever controls the flow of fuel to the engine.FUEL-OFF - Pull the governor control lever toward the rear of the scraper in order to stop the engine. When the governor control lever is moved to the FUEL-OFF position, a detent will be felt.FUEL-ON - Push the governor control lever toward the front of the scraper in order to supply fuel for starting of the engine.
