Information:
Remove And Install Oil Pan
Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants put into the system may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
1. Drain the oil from the oil pan. 2. Remove bolt (1), two bolts (3) and gauge (2). 3. Remove bolts (4) and oil pan (5). The following steps are to install the oil pan.4. Make sure the oil pan is free of oil and gasket material.5. Make a 3.175 mm (.125 in) application of 6V6640 Gasket Maker on the cylinder block on the inside of the bolt hole pattern. Make sure the gasket material has no openings (continuous) so there will be no leakage.6. Install two 3/8" - 16 NC guide bolts in block. Install oil pan (5) and bolts (4).7. Install oil level gauge (2) in position on pan with two bolts (3). Fasten gauge clip to bracket with bolt (1).8. Fill the crankcase with oil to the correct level.
