Assembly Procedure

Install O-ring seal (15) and backup ring (16) onto seat (12).

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury.To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.
Install spool (10) into valve assembly (5). Install spring (11). Install seat (12). Install adapter (13). Install retaining ring (14). Tighten adapter (13) to a torque of 30 3 N m (22 2 lb ft).

Install shims (7). Install valve (6). Install O-ring seal (9). Connect solenoid valve assembly (8) to valve assembly (5).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Install O-ring seals (3) and tighten bolts (4).

Install the solenoid and relief valve assembly (2) to block assembly (1). Tighten the solenoid and relief valve assembly (2) to a torque of 135 10 N m (100 7 lb ft). End By:
Install the relief valve for the auxiliary circuit. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Relief Valve (Auxilliary Circuit) - Install".
