(1) Hydraulic oil cooler. (2) Hydraulic oil tank. (3) Vibratory flushing manifold. (4) Operator console. (5) Propel pumps (Only one on CS-431C). (6) Brake and shift valve. (7) Charge filter. (8) Thermal bypass valve. (9) Charge pump.
Illustration 2 g00688112
(10) Drum propel motor ( CS/CP-433C). (11) Final drive for the drum. (12) Brake interlock valve. (13) Axle propel motor. The propel hydraulic system is a closed loop system. The propel system drives the front drum and the rear axle.
Illustration 3 g00688339
The charge oil for the propel system is supplied by the charge pump (9).
Illustration 4 g00688353
The charge oil flows through the brake and shift valve (6). Then oil flows to the charge filter (7).
Illustration 5 g00688591
The location of the propel pumps on the CS/CP-433C
Illustration 6 g00688362
The location of the propel pump on the CS-431CThe oil flows through the charge filter to the propel pumps (5) (Only the axle propel pump on the CS-431C).The flow from the propel pumps is controlled by the propel control lever on the operator console (4).
Illustration 7 g00688501
The brake interlock valve (12) does not allow pressure to build up in the servo valves of the pumps when the parking brake is applied. When the parking brake is released, the brake interlock valve allows differential pressure in the servos of the pump which allows the pumps to flow when the propel lever is moved.Oil flows from the propel pumps to the axle propel motor (13) and flows to the drum propel motor (10) .Note: The CS-431C does not have a drum propel pump or a drum propel motor.
Illustration 8 g00688374
The axle propel motor (13) is bolted to the rear of the drive axle. The axle propel motor receives oil from the axle propel pump. Power is transmitted from the motor to the rear axle.
Illustration 9 g00688373
The drum propel motor (10) is bolted to final drive (11) for the drum. The drum propel motor receives oil from the drum propel pump. Power is transmitted from the motor to the front drum.
Illustration 10 g00688492
The thermal bypass valve (8) is located under the hydraulic tank. The bypass valve directs hot case drain oil from the propel motors to the oil cooler (1).
Illustration 11 g00688364
The flushing manifold (3) is located on the front side of the hydraulic tank (2). The manifold has seven test ports for measuring pressures for the propel system and the vibratory system. The manifold also has a scheduled oil sampling test port for the hydraulic system.
