Right Console (1) Propel lever (2) Display (3) Drum offset left switch (4) Drum offset right switchDrum offset left switch (3) and drum offset right switch (4) are located on propel lever (1), on the right console. These switches are push-button switches with normally open momentary contacts. The propel lever communicates the status of drum offset left switch (3) and drum offset right switch (4) to the machine ECM through the CAN lines. The machine ECM monitors the signal from these switches. The ECM compares these inputs to the signals from the steering angle position sensor and the offset angle position sensor. The ECM compares these signals in order to control the solenoids on the offset control valve and the steering control valve. When either of the switches is pressed, the machine ECM directs an output signal to the appropriate drum offset solenoid. The machine ECM also directs an output signal to the appropriate steering control solenoid. The offset cylinder and steering cylinder extend or retract in order to control the drum offset while maintaining the current steering angle.
