Power transfers from machine ECM "1" fuse (3) to the following terminals of machine ECM (9) : "2", "47", "48", "49" and "50". This voltage provides the main power source for the machine ECM and also provides the wake-up signal. The machine ECM is grounded at terminal "1".Power transfers from machine ECM "2" fuse (1) to terminal "2" of split drum ECM (10). This voltage provides the main power source for the split drum ECM and also provides the wake-up signal. The split drum ECM is grounded at terminal "1".When the engine start switch is in the ON position and the machine main relay is energized, power transfers to propel/steer fuse (2). Power transfers from the propel/steer fuse to contact "2" of propel lever (4) .CAN Communication
Split drum ECM (13), machine ECM (12) and propel lever (4) communicate through the CAN lines.Steering Shunt Solenoid
Steering shunt solenoid (11) enables and disables the drum offset system. When the steering shunt solenoid is energized, the steering shunt valve is closed and oil from the steering pump is routed to the offset control valve. In this case, the drum offset system is enabled. When the steering shunt solenoid is de energized, the steering shunt valve opens and hydraulic oil from the steering pump is sent directly to the hydraulic tank. In this case, the drum offset system is disabled.Drum Offset Controls
The drum offset system is a closed loop system that is position controlled. Steering angle position sensor (5) measures the angle of machine articulation and transmits this information to machine ECM (12). Offset angle position sensor (6) measures the angle of the rear hitch. The machine ECM computes an offset amount from these two signals.Drum offset is controlled by solenoids in the steering control valve and solenoids in the offset control valve. Each control valve has two solenoids. Front clockwise solenoid (10) and front counterclockwise solenoid (9) control the operation of the steering control valve. Rear clockwise solenoid (7) and rear counterclockwise solenoid (8) control the operation of the offset control valve.Machine ECM (12) monitors the signals from propel lever (4) in order to determine the status of the offset control switches. When the machine determines
