Towing Hitch System (Tow Hook in the Raised Position) (1) Bank valve (2) Diverter valve (3) Cylinder (towing hitch) (4) Manifold block (rear auxiliary services) (5) Drain valve (6) Implement section of bank valve (front auxiliary services 1 and rear auxiliary services) (7) Spool (8) Accumulator charging valve
Illustration 2 g00920422
The machine is equipped with a hydraulic powered towing hitch (9). The hitch is raised and the hitch is lowered by hydraulic hitch cylinder (3).
Illustration 3 g00920423
The hydraulic cylinder is operated by buttons (10) and (11) on the joystick control. The buttons energize solenoids on implement section (6) of bank valve (1). The solenoids move spool (7) to either the raise or the lower position. Oil from accumulator charging valve (8) flows past the spool and into diverter valve (2).
Illustration 4 g00920424
Joystick ControlThe diverter valve directs the oil flow from implement section (6) of bank valve (1) to either the front auxiliary services or to the rear auxiliary services. The diverter valve is operated by switch (12) on the right side instrument panel. When the switch is pressed to the right, the spool in the diverter valve is moved to the position for the front auxiliary service 1. When the switch is pressed to the left, the spool in the diverter valve is moved to the position for the rear auxiliary service. The towing hitch system is part of the rear auxiliary service.
Illustration 5 g00920426
Oil flows from diverter valve (2) to manifold block (4). The manifold directs the flow of oil to towing hitch cylinder (3). Oil from the hitch cylinder is returned to the hydraulic tank through manifold (4), diverter valve (2) and bank valve (1).
Illustration 6 g00920427
The hydraulic hitch is attached to the frame at the rear of the machine. Towing hitch (9) is attached to mounting bracket (13) which is attached to the machine frame at the rear of the machine. The piston rod of cylinder (3) is attached to tow hook (14). The piston rod is extended in order to lower the tow hook, and the piston rod is retracted in order to raise the tow hook.
Illustration 7 g00920429
To lower the tow hook, pin assembly (15) must be manually removed. When the tow hook is returned to the raised position, the hitch must be locked in the engaged position by installing the pin assembly. The pin assembly must be installed before towing or tipping a trailer.Handle (16) is connected to drain valve (5). The handle must be in the vertical position before the hitch is raised or lowered by hydraulic power.
