Required Tools
Tool Part Number Part Description Qty
A 8H-8581 Feeler Gauge 1 Note: Check all of the components for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Clean all of the components with a cloth that is free of loose material (lint).
Illustration 2 g00648301
Position two brake linings (3) in hydraulic caliper service brake (4) with the friction material on each brake lining toward the brake disc. Make sure that the slots in brake linings (3) are aligned with pins (1). When brake linings (3) are properly aligned, push both pins (1) through the holes in the brake linings.
Illustration 3 g00648303
Use Tool (A) in order to measure the distance between pins (1) and the disc. Move pins (1) so that the distance is 1.5 0.5 mm (0.06 0.02 inch). Tighten two bolts (2) to a torque of 48 4 N m (35 3 lb ft).
Repeat Step 2 for the remaining two pins and two bolts that are located at the top of hydraulic caliper service brake (4).
