Put shaft (8) in position. Carefully install the shaft into track roller (9) .
Illustration 2 g00715996
Put toric stabilizers (7) in position on both ends of shaft (8) .
Illustration 3 g00716003
Put toric ring (10) in position in seal ring (6) .
Illustration 4 g00716004
Use Tooling (A) to install seal ring (6) onto shaft (8). Seal ring (6) is correctly positioned when Tooling (A) contacts the end of the shaft.
Illustration 5 g00716005
Use a depth micrometer (11) to measure the distance between seal ring (6) and shaft (8). Take the measurement in four different places that are 90 degrees from the previous measurement. The difference in the measurements must not exceed 0.80 mm (0.031 inch).
Use Tooling (A) to adjust seal ring (6), if necessary.
Repeat Steps 4 through 7 in order to install the seal ring onto the other side of the track roller.

Put O-ring seal (12) into position on seal ring (4). Make sure that the O-ring seal is straight.
Illustration 7 g00716009
Use Tooling (A) to install seal ring (4) into retainer (1). Make sure that the O-ring seal is seated against the bottom of retainer (1) .
Use a depth micrometer (11) to measure the depth from the surface of the retainer to the surface of the seal. Take the measurement in four different places that are 90 degrees from the previous measurement. The difference in the measurements must not exceed 0.10 mm (0.004 inch). Use Tooling (A) to adjust the seal ring, if necessary.
Install O-ring (5) onto retainer (1) .

Put a thin film of clean oil on the face of the seal ring.
Put Tooling (B) in position in the bores of retainer and the seal ring. Use Tooling (B) to install retainer (1) in the original position.
Install bolts (3) .
Tighten bolts (3) evenly to a torque of 55 7 N m (41 5 lb ft). Remove Tooling (B) .
Repeat Steps 10 through 16 in order to install retainer (1) onto the other side of the track roller.
Use the following procedure to pressure test the track roller:
Use Tooling (D) to pressure test the track roller. Pressurize the roller with 280 kPa (41 psi) of air.
Observe the pressure reading on the track roller. The pressure should remain constant for ten seconds. A reduction in pressure in less than ten seconds indicates a leak in the track roller. If there is a reduction in pressure, the track roller must be disassembled.
Use Tooling (E) to check the end play of the shaft. The end play should be 0.25 to 0.85 mm (0.010 to 0.033 inch).
Fill the track roller with 345 10 mL (11.7 0.3 oz) of SAE 30W oil. The track roller should be
