Remove Fuel Ratio Control
To prevent possible personal injury, release all the air pressure in the system before air line (1) is disconnected.
1. Disconnect air line (1) from fuel ratio control (2).2. Remove the lockwire and seal from the bolt.3. Remove bolts (3) that hold fuel ratio control (2) to the governor. Pull fuel ratio control (2) up and toward the front of the engine to remove the valve assembly stem from the slot in the stop collar of the governor. Remove fuel ratio control (2) and the gasket.Install Fuel Ratio Control
1. Put the gasket and fuel ratio control (1) in position on the cover. Make sure valve assembly stem (2) fits into the slot in the stop collar of the governor. Install the bolts that hold the fuel ratio cotrol in position. 2. Connect air line (3) to the fuel ratio control valve.3. Make sure the fuel ratio control is in correct adjustment. See Testing And Adjusting.Disassemble Fuel Ratio Control
START BY:a. remove fuel ratio control 1. Remove two bolts (1) and housing (2). 2. Remove valve assembly (3).3. Remove seal (4) and the O-ring seal from the valve.4. Remove retainer (5) and two springs (6). 5. Remove three bolts (9) and cover (10).6. Remove valve (7), diaphragm (8), the retainer and the spring. 7. Remove pin (12) from valve (7).8. Remove cover (11) from the valve.9. Remove the seal from cover (11).Assemble Fuel Ratio Control
1. Put clean engine oil on lip of the seal. Install seal (1) in cover (2). Install the seal so the lip is toward the inside of the cover. 2. Install valve (3) into cover (2).3. Install the pin that holds the cover on the valve. 4. Install spring (7) and retainer (6) in cover (8).5. Install diaphragm (5) on valve assembly (4) and in the cover. 6. Install the cover and three bolts (11) that hold the covers together.7. Put clean engine oil on the seal and the ring seal. Install seals (10) on the valve.8. Install two springs (13), the retainer and valve assembly (12).9. Install housing (9) and the two bolts.
Correct adjustment must be made to the fuel ratio control before installation. See Testing And Adjusting.
