Personal injury or death can result from sudden machine movement.The machine can move suddenly in the forward or reverse direction when adjustments are made to the drive system.To avoid machine movement, make sure that the machine is completely raised off of the ground and properly supported.Make sure that the area is clear of personnel and equipment while testing and adjusting.
Introduction
This test will determine if the NoSPIN differential is operating properly.Required Tools

Park the machine on level ground. Lower the bowl. Apply the parking brake.

Block the tractor wheels on each side with Tooling (A) . Release the parking brake. Shut off the engine.

Use Tooling (B) in order to lift the rear of the scraper. Refer to Operation and Maintainence Manual, "Jacking/Blocking Locations".
Use tooling (C) to keep the driveshaft from turning.Test Procedure
With the help of an assistant, rotate both wheels in the reverse direction. This will lock the differential. The wheels will stop after all the play in the power train has been eliminated.
While the assistant holds the right-hand wheel securely in the reverse direction, rotate the left-hand wheel in the forward direction. The differential must be replaced if the left-hand wheel does not unlock and the left-hand wheel does not rotate freely in the forward direction.Note: A faint indexing or a clicking sound should be heard as the wheel unlocks.
Continue to rotate the left-hand wheel in the forward direction. Rotate the right-hand wheel in the forward direction until the right-hand wheel comes to a stop. The left-hand wheel should continue to rotate freely in the forward direction, regardless of the direction or rotation of the right-hand wheel. Note: If the left-hand wheel does not remain unlocked with the movement of the right-hand wheel, the differential must be replaced.
