Remove bolts (7) to disconnect the steps from the rear bumper. Remove cover (8). Remove bolts (7) from the opposite side of the machine.

Disconnect cable assemblies (9).

Disconnect cable assemblies (10). Remove bolts (11).

Disconnect harness assembly (13) from harness assemblies (12). Disconnect harness assemblies (12) from the rear bumper. Pull cable assemblies (10) through the rear bumper. Remove clamp (14). Disconnect cable assemblies (15) from the frame.

Remove bolt (16) and cable clamp (17). Pull cable assembly (9) through the hole in the frame.

Remove hand rail (18).

Install Tooling (B) (not shown) and a suitable lifting device through the hole on the right side of rear bumper (19). The weight rear bumper (19) is approximately 5600 kg (12350 lb).Note: The suitable lifting device must be at least 3 m (10.0 ft) long.

Attach Tooling (C) and suitable lifting devices to rear bumper (19) on the left side of rear bumper (19).Note: The suitable lifting devices must be at least 3 m (10.0 ft) long.

Attach Tooling (D) and a suitable lifting device to rear bumper (19). Use Tooling (D) and the suitable lifting device to apply approximately 57825 N (13000 lb) of lifting force to rear bumper (19)

Position Tooling (E) under the rear portion of rear bumper (19), as shown. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (E). Maintain a gap between top face of Tooling (E) and rear bumper (19) of approximately 152 mm (6.0 inch).
Remove bolts (21).
Loosen bolts (20) by approximately 25 mm (1.0 inch).

Slowly lower rear bumper (19) to Tooling (E). Lowering rear bumper (19) will cause rear bumper (19) to begin to pull off dowels (22) (not shown). When rear bumper (19) sets on Tooling (E), raise rear bumper (19) up again. Install suitable Wedges (X) at the front of rear bumper (19), as shown. Keep repeating this step until rear bumper (19) is free from dowels (22) (not shown).
Remove Tooling (E) and bolts (20).

Remove rear bumper (19) and position onto suitable cribbing.Installation Procedure
Install rear bumper (19) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (F) to dowels (22) prior to the installation procedure.
