Remove the fan drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan Drive - Remove".Note: The cooling system components and weights may vary depending on your arrangement.

Attach a suitable lifting device to fan assembly (1) . The weight of fan assembly (1) is approximately 225 kg (500 lb).

Loosen setscrews (3) . Remove bolts (2) .

Lower fan assembly (1) from retainer (4) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove retainer (4) .

Remove key (5) from fan shaft (6) . Remove fan assembly (1) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to fan shaft (6) , bearings (7) , and pulley (8) . The weight of fan shaft (6) , bearings (7) , and pulley (8) is approximately 70 kg (150 lb). Place fan shaft (6) , bearings (7) , and pulley (8) on suitable cribbing.

Loosen setscrew (10) . Attach a suitable lifting device to pulley (8) . The weight of pulley (8) is approximately 32 kg (70 lb). Remove bolts (9) and install bolts (9) at Locations (X) . Tighten the bolts in order to remove pulley (8) from the fan shaft. Remove pulley (8) and key (11) .

Note: Mark the location of bearings (7) for assembly.
Loosen setscrews (12) from bearings (7) . Remove bearings (7) from fan shaft (6) .
