2 Disassemble the transmission to remove former manifold assembly (1); see the Service Manual for disassembly of the transmission. 3 If an external oil supply for the No. 5 gear train is to be used, remove 9S4191 Plug (2) and the 3J1907 Seal from 6T6051 Manifold Assembly (3). If an external oil supply is not going to be used, remove 9S8008 Plug (4) and the 3D2824 Seal; do not remove plug (2).4 Assemble the transmission with new manifold assembly (3); see the Service Manual.
824C, 825C, 826C, 980C5 If an external oil supply is to be installed on any of the above machines, remove torque converter charging manifold (5). Drill hole (A), 14.75 mmØ (0.578"Ø), through the wall of the manifold as shown. Put 3/8"-18 NPTF threads, 15.0 1.0 mm (0.60" 0.04") deep, in the hole.
834B, 988B6 For the above machines, install torque converter charging manifold (5) on the transmission. Install 307947 Elbow (6) and 3J1907 Seal on manifold assembly (3). Install 2N8037 Elbow (7) on charging manifold (5). Connect 6T6791 Tube Assembly (8) to elbows (6) and (7). Drill a 8.20 mmØ (0.328"Ø) hole (B), 25.0 1.0 mm (1.00" 0.04") deep in boss (9) as shown. Put 3/8"-16-2B threads, 17.5 1.0 mm (0.69" 0.04") deep, in the hole. Install 8S8820 Clip (10) around tube assembly (8). Fasten clip (10) to boss (9) with T102 Bolt (11).
824C, 825C, 826C, 980C7 For the above machines, install torque converter charging manifold (5) on the transmission. Install 307947 Elbow (6) and 3J1907 Seal on manifold assembly (3). Install 2N8037 Elbow (7) on charging manifold (5). Install 6T6790 Tube Assembly (12) between elbows (6) and (7). Drill a 8.20 mmØ (0.328"Ø) hole (B), 25.0 1.0 mm (1.00" 0.04") deep in boss (9) as shown. Put 3/8"-16-2B threads, 17.5 1.0 mm (0.69" 0.04") deep, in the hole. Install 8S8820 Clip (10) around tube assembly (12). Fasten clip (10) to boss (9) with T102 Bolt (11).8 Install the transmission in the machine; see the Service Manual.
