Push the autoshift switch back into the MANUAL position. If the transmission neutralizer has not been disabled, the transmission will also neutralize as the machine slows down.The operator must use the transmission speed selector in order to change transmission speeds.Automatic Shifting (Conventional Steering)

Move the autoshift switch into the automatic position.When the autoshift switch is engaged, the lowest automatic speed for the transmission is SECOND speed. Press downshift button to get to FIRST speed. The transmission will shift into SECOND after a change in direction if the maximum gear is equal to or greater than second gear. Then the transmission will shift automatically according to machine conditions. Depressing the left service brake pedal will cause the transmission to downshift. If the transmission neutralizer has not been disabled, the transmission will also neutralize. Fully release the left service brake pedal in order to return to automatic shifting.Downshifting (Conventional Steering)

Manual Shifting
The downshift switch can be used to downshift the machine from SECOND to FIRST in order to load the bucket. The downshift switch is active when the transmission speed selector lever is set to SECOND speed. The transmission will remain at FIRST until gear number selector position increases or direction switch position changes. When either changes, the transmission immediately shifts into gear number selector position.Note: The transmission will not downshift to a lower speed range if the current ground speed is high enough to result in engine and transmission over speed. A warning is if transmission is locked out of the lower gear by flashing the actual gear on the display. The transmission will not downshift until ground speed conditions are met that will safely allow the speed range change.
