Type 3 cylinder heads have longer exhaust valve springs. The inlet valve seat inserts have smaller inside diameters. Type 4 cylinder heads have standard valve springs. The inlet valve seat inserts have smaller inside diameters.

The lubricant must be applied after assembly of the retainer.
