Remove the modular front end.

Remove tube assemblies (1) .

Cooling system coolant additive contains alkali. To help prevent personal injury, avoid contact with the skin and the eyes. Do not drink cooling system coolant additive.
Remove tube (2) , hose assemblies (3) , and cover assembly (4) .
A large amount of coolant can remain in tube (5) . Be prepared to collect any excess coolant in a suitable container.
Remove tube assembly (5) .

Attach a suitable lifting device onto thermostatic valve (6) . The weight of thermostatic valve (6) is approximately 40 kg (88 lb). Remove bolts (7) . Disconnect harness assembly (8) .

Attach Tooling (A) onto fan guard (10) . The weight of fan guard (10) is approximately 454 kg (1000 lb).

Disconnect harness assembly (11) and remove the connecting hardware.

Remove bolts (12) in order to remove the fan and fan guard assembly (13) . The weight of the fan and fan guard assembly (13) is approximately 612 kg (1350 lb).

Position the fan and fan guard assembly (13) onto suitable blocking. Remove bolts (14) . Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove fan (15) . The weight of fan (15) is approximately 159 kg (350 lb).
Fan spider (15) should be laid flat or suspended at the hub bore to prevent the deformation of the fan blades.Note: Improper handling or damage to the fan spider may affect the balance of the fan and may result in a catastrophic failure during operation.Installation Procedure
Install the fan and guard assembly (13) in the reverse order of removal.
