When opening the drain valve, wear protective gloves, protective face shield, protective clothing and protective shoes.Pressurized air could cause debris to be blown and result in personal injury.
Do not exceed the air pressure of 830 35 kPa (120 5 psi) or damage can occur to the air system components.

Remove the air pressure from the air tanks.
Install a pressure tap in the drain valve of the air tank.
Install Tool (A) on the pressure tap.
Use an external air supply to charge the air system.
Start the engine.
Record the air pressure when the governor cuts out.
Repeatedly open the tank drain until the air pressure drops and the governor activates.
Record the cut-in pressure. If the cutout pressure is not 837 34 kPa (120 5 psi) and the cut-in pressure is not 655 kPa (95 psi), adjust the governor.

Governor assemblyNote: The governor assembly is located on the front of the compressor group.
Remove cover (1) at the top of the governor.
Loosen the locknut for the adjustment screw under the cover.
Turn the adjustment screw counterclockwise in order to increase the cutout pressure setting to 837 34 kPa (120 5 psi). If you need to decrease the cutout pressure setting, turn adjustment screw clockwise.
Tighten the locknut for the adjustment screw in order to hold this adjustment.After you adjust the governor, check the cutout pressure. If the cutout pressure has not changed, then check for bad unloading valves. If the difference that is between the cutout pressure and the cut-in pressure is not within the range of the specifications, check for a bad governor.Check the air pressure gauge on the machine. Check the test gauge that was installed in the drain valve of the primary air tank.Start the engine. Operate the engine until the cutout pressure is reached. The indication on the air pressure gauge must be the equivalent of the indication on the test gauge. If there is more than a difference of 35 kPa (5 psi), install a new pressure sensor on the machine.
