Installation Procedure

Position wiper motor (4) and install the bolts.
Connect wire assembly (5) .

Position dash (2) and install bolts (1) and (3) .

Install retaining nuts (11). The torque for retaining nuts (11) is 19 1 N m (146 1 lb ft).

Install caps (10) .
Push the wiper arm assembly straight onto the tapered shaft. If the wiper arm assembly is not installed straight when the shaft turns, the splines will be improperly formed and damage will occur.

Position wiper arm assemblies (8) on the tapered shaft at 30 1 degrees to the left of the vertical centerline.
Install the lock washers and nuts (9). The torque for nuts (9) is 23 1 N m (17 1 lb ft).Note: Wait for at least thirty minutes. Then, tighten nuts (9) again to the above torque. Do not wait for more than four hours.

Close covers (6) .

Note: Do not use petroleum lubricants on the hose ends. Do not stretch the hose between connection points.
Connect hose (7) to the fitting. Make sure that you install the hose to dimension (A), as shown. Dimension (A) equals 1.0 1.0 mm (0.04 0.04 inch).End By: Separate the steering frame lock. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Frame Lock - Separate and Connect".
