1. Install the O-ring seal on plug assembly (3). Install ball (1), spring (2) and plug assembly (3) in the valve body. 2. Install the O-ring seal on the stop assembly. Install stop assembly (4) in the valve body. 3. Install O-ring seal (6) in cover (5). Put cover (5) in position on the valve body. Install the three bolts that hold it. 4. Install the O-ring seal on seat (7). Install the ball in seat (7). Install the seat in the valve body.5. Install the O-ring seal on the plug. Install the seat, the O-ring seal and the plug in the body. 6. Assemble the valve stem assembly as follows: a. Put shims (11) in valve spool (9).b. Install retainer (12), spacer (13) spring (14) and retainer (8).c. Install the washer, the lockwasher and bolt (10) that hold the unit together. 7. Install valve spool assembly (17) in the valve body.8. Install valve (15) and inner and outer springs (16). 9. Install the O-ring seal on seat (18). Install the seat in cover (19). Install the O-ring seals in the cover. 10. Put cover (19) in position on the valve body and install the four bolts that hold it.11. Install shims (22) and the O-ring seal on plug (23). Install valve (20), spring (21) and plug (23) in the valve body, as shown. 12. Install the O-ring seal in manifold (24). Put the manifold in position on the valve body, as shown. Install the four bolts and the washers that hold the manifold to the steering control valve.End By:a. Install the steering control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Steering Control Valve - Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
