4.64 (actual turns)    If an automatic lubrication injector has been repaired or an injector has been replaced, proper adjustment of the measuring chamber is required. Proper adjustment of adjustment screw (1) and the measuring chamber will depend on the bearing that is being lubricated.Note: Turn adjustment screw (1) by hand. Do not use wrenches.
Remove the cap that covers adjustment screw (1) and loosen locknut (2) .
Turn adjustment screw (1) clockwise into threaded plug (3) which will push the indicator pin downward into the body of the injector. Continue turning until the adjustment screw has bottomed out.
Turn adjustment screw (1) counterclockwise to the specified number of turns. This action sets the injector for the desired amount of grease to be displaced.Note: The 5T-5045 Lubrication Injector (SL-1) and the 307-3245 Injector (SL-V) actuate differently. When you back off adjustment screw (1) on the SL-1 injector, piston assembly (4) will follow the adjustment screw. When you back off adjustment screw (1) on the SL-V injector, piston assembly (4) may remain in the float position.
Tighten locknut (2) and replace the cap. Recommended Settings for the Injectors on the 994F and 994H
Autolube systems must be adjusted before being put into use to ensure each joint gets the appropriate amount of grease. Different applications require frequency, volume, and proportioning adjustments from the recommended or factory settings.Autolube settings must be monitored and adjusted as needed to account for changes in application, temperature, grease type, and NLGI grade.
