Shims (2) can be inserted between adapter plate (4) and mounting (5) on the ejector blade. Add or remove the required number of shims in order to set the ejector blade to stay to the correct height. The shims that are not used can be stored on the ejector blade (3).Once the shims are installed correctly, loosen bolts (1) and allow the weight of the ejector blade to rest on the rollers. Tighten the locknuts on the bolts.
Move the battery disconnect switch to the ON position and start the engine.
Run the ejector blade along the body and observe for points of insufficient clearance. Adjustment of the Pitch Rollers for the Ejector Blade
Illustration 4 g01153686Once the height of the ejector blade has been set correctly, it is necessary to set the clearances for the rollers (6) and (7) at the top of the ejector blade.Extend the ejector blade until the ejector blade is no longer secured by the latch group. Stop the engine and remove the key from the engine start switch. Move the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.Roller (7) must be in contact with the body. If Roller (7) is not in contact with the body, it is necessary to adjust roller (7) before proceeding to adjust roller (6).

Loosen the locknuts on bolts (8) and extend the bolts. A suitable prybar can be used with the bolts in order to rotate the concentric cam. Loosen 18 bolts (9) that surround the concentric cam for the roller enough to allow the concentric cam to be rotated. Turn the concentric cam until roller (7) is in contact with the body. With the roller in contact with the body, check that the carriage is parallel with the body. If the carriage is not parallel with the body, use further adjustment of the concentric cam in order to align the carriage with the body. The clearance between the carriage and the top of the body must be equal at both the front and the rear of the carriage.
Illustration 6 g00859750
Tighten 4 bolts at positions (1), (2), (3) and (4) by hand. Tighten the bolts enough to ensure that the roller is locked square with the carriage.
Use the sequence that is given in Illustration 6. Tighten each of the bolts that surround the concentric cam to a torque of 23 N m (17 lb ft).
Once this has been achieved, repeat the tightening sequence with a torque of 46 N m (34 lb ft) then with a torque of 70 N m (52 lb ft).
Tighten the bolts in a circular sequence to a torque of 70 N m (52 lb ft) until the bolts no longer turn.
Repeat this procedure for roller (7) on the other side of the body.

Observe the clearance (A) on both sides of the machine between roller (6) and the body. If the clearance (A) is less than
